Desperate attempt at bringing this blog back to life

Hello again my dear readers! I can’t believe it’s been three months since the last time I’ve posted anything here!

So let’s see what’s been going on in my life for these past months. My summer went relatively well, although I managed to spend most of it online. My summer trip no. 2 was going to Pärnu, Estonia with my family. It was fun, except for a couple of  minor family crises that made me think we will never go on a family trip again. I don’t have many photos, as usual, but you’ll get to see what I bought (read: what dad bought for me) from there. :)

Shortsit

Oh God, possibly the worst photo ever and nobody even mention the pose. The point of this: the lace shorts and the heels. ♥

An Affair in Red Square

New nail polish no. 1 – OPI An Affair in Red Square ♥

New nail polish no. 2 – (the blue one) OPI DS Magic ♥

New shirt no. 1 and also the most recent photo of my lovely face. :'3

Naama

New shirt no. 2 featuring my kawaii face.

~♥~

Other real life news: My sister turned 18 in August and got her driver’s license and I’ve started driving to school. I’ve been to my grandparents’ cottage with my dad and uncle to pick mushrooms and I’ve seen a concert version of Jesus Christ Superstar in Lahti and the Finnish version of Tanz der Vampire (which was AMAZING and cost me way more than I would’ve liked) in Seinäjoki. School has been better again, but I’m supposed to start on-the-job training soon and it’s making my stress levels go up again. I’ve finally started taking ballet lessons and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. Now I just need to stop being lazy on Thursdays and actually go to the classes every week. :'D

~♥~

Things that are rocking my world: internet with all the amazing people I’ve met (hi guys I love you ♥), and Takarazuka. I’ve written my first fan letters to my princess a.k.a. Sagiri Seina and bought the ultimate amazingness a.k.a. said princess’ Bow Hall show’s DVD. Nijinsky, you guys. Watch it. Now. ♥ Also, my dear Zara was in Japan so I had her buy me everything I could afford, namely these things:

♥___________♥ Everything is shiny and nothing hurts. Obviously Zara bought a lot of stuff for herself too, and we had the best 'Zuka sleepover this weekend. ♥ Yukigumi. ♥

~♥~

Dad installed Windows 7 on my computer last week and everything looks shiny now. We did three different backups of my old files and stuff but I still haven’t figured out how to get some things back the way they used to be. Like my Firefox bookmarks. ASDFASGDF. And I finally got the new Photoshop dad promised to buy me years ago. I actually got the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium and it’s so full of things I hardly know how to use it. A huge leap from my old Elements 2.0.

Okay, that’s enough of text for now. Hopefully I’ll get back to more regular updates soon! Until next time, lovelies. ♥

In for a kill

Put all your angels on the edge
Keep all the roses, I’m not dead

Missed me much? :D I’ve caught a cold so I didn’t have to go to school today. And you know what that means, right? Spending the whole day on the computer! …Ahem, I obviously meant to write ‘resting and trying to get better’. x3

I should really do something to improve the quality of this blog… It’s really starting to bother me that my most used tags are random and fail. >.<’’ I’ve been thinking about sorting my blogs out. This one would be for my life in general, Alteregoizm would remain the vampire blog, my lj would be for fandoms, I’d have an angst blog and a writing blog and lastly, I’ve been thinking of starting some kind of a fashion blog. That’s six blogs in total. I wouldn’t be able to update any of them, would I? But I really need a fashion blog for my studies… Would it get very confusing if I just started adding some fashion illustrations here? o.O

Anyway, my blog improvement started with a new header. I was tired of the old one, but now I’m not sure if the new header quite fits the current layout. I really wouldn’t want to change this blog’s appearance too much… The light violet text on the darker background probably isn’t the most eye-catching, but I really like this colour scheme. Life’s hard.

On to the happy events of these past two weeks! Tarja’s new album What Lies Beneath was released on the 1st of September but I only got my hands on it on the 2nd.

(Distracting Mizus of my school folder in the background) I obviously had to buy the Deluxe Version of the album, with three extra songs and a video of Tarja talking about WLB. :3 I’m loving this CD so much! Musically, it still isn’t at the same level as Nightwish, but Tarja’s voice is so beautiful! I’m loving the lyrics in most songs, too. I really felt the hype for this album when Tarja released the videos of Falling Awake, I Feel Immortal and Until My Last Breath. Luckily, the rest of the songs didn’t disappoint either. I think this album is more mature than My Winter Storm, but the musicians still need to put more passion to their playing to really bring out Tarja’s voice as best as they can. I’ve listened this from the top for about 13 times and by now I’m loving about every song, even the slower ones that didn’t quite catch my attention on MWS. Tarja’s first solo album had a couple of songs that felt more personal, My Little Phoenix for me and I Walk Alone for Tarja herself, the Alice Cooper cover Poison that still sounds great, and Lost Northern Star and Boy and the Ghost that I still keep listening, but WLB is an album I can keep listening without skipping one song. Unlike I Walk Alone, I still haven’t grown bored with Falling Awake. Major improvement there! And I can’t do a mini-review of this album without mentioning the extra song that got me drooling; Still of the Night, a Whitesnake cover that rocks my socks! The lyrics, the power, the love! *-*

Next up: what I did last weekend!

I went to see my grandparents in Lahti. There was some kind of an art day, so the town was full of events from free tickets to various museums to a 50’s fashion show. It was fun, but the freezing weather (about 12 Celsius degrees and a terrible wind) made it slightly unpleasant to go from one place to another.

Me and my granny went to an art gallery where the first 50 visitors got a surprise gift. Thus, I am now two Neopikos richer than last week!

I really couldn’t remember which two colours I had already, so I just took a turquoise marker that looked nice. My granny picked a pink one, which she gave to me afterwards. *-* I also bought a Japanese brush-like pen, since they had a 20% discount on every product they had. I really don’t know what that pen should be called, but it has a brush tip and black ink inside. Taitti had bought one of those before and she liked it, so I thought I could get one as well. :3

Other than that, my weekend was very tasty. Dad’s mom took me to a Spanish beef restaurant for lunch on Saturday and in the evening we had some apple pie she had made with ice-cream and other tasty things afterwards. On Sunday I ate porridge for breakfast, with some delicious blueberries and nonna, my mother’s mom, took me to Santa Fé to eat some more beef for lunch (pear ice-cream with caramel sauce for dessert, as usual ♥).

When I got back home, it didn’t take long before my dad came back from Tour de Helsinki, a big bicycle race, with his collar bone broken. He had fallen over at around 3 p.m. and was heading to hospital, just stopping by the house to pick some clean clothes with him. We’ve been having a bit depressing mood at home this week, since he hasn’t even been able to have a surgery yet. Get well soon, daddy! ;__;♥

~♥~

On to shopping! Actually, I was shopping on last Thursday, so these should have been higher up the post, before my trip to Lahti. Anyway, I finally bought myself a pair of leggings!

(Sorry for the face lag, took the photo today, with no make-up on and feeling ill.) I remember swearing I’d never get a pair of leggings. Well, as they say, one should never say never. :D Takarazuka freaking fandom, would you stop messing with my mind already? …The leggings are actually a bit thin-fake leather-like and look more shiny in real life. :'D With those boots… (Hey, I’m also showing you my lovely new feet-killers here!) Internet is for porn? :____D I really don’t know if I’ll ever have the guts to wear those anywhere public. x3 My wardrobe isn’t exactly full of clothes that could be worn stylishly with leggings…

Ahem, anyway, I also bought a you know what… Nail polish! FAIL! xD

OPI DS Coronation. (No I didn’t spend 19,95 € on a nail polish when I’m saving for all that Zuka stuff and dreaming of new clothes… >.>'')

In a toilet artificial light…

…And natural light.

As always, the application is perfect. *-* You just can’t go wrong with an OPI DS polish. This would actually have been a three-coater, but the sparkliness allowed me to go with just two coats. (I did my nails at around midnight and was supposed to wake up at six in the morning. x.x)

Now I’m tempted to wear DS Extravagance next, but I’m also getting a feeling that I haven’t had red nails for too long… D: The problem of owning too many nail polishes, it’s always a pain to decide which one to wear next!

…I also bought two zippers to sew on the legs of a pair of black pants to make them more up-to-date. :3 Just have to get around to actually doing it…

~♥~

Lastly, I would like to share something related to style with you! :3

A photo from Stockmann’s Premier magazine. If I had the money, I would definitely go and buy some of those clothes! *-*Especially the ones in right… And about all the shoes… Damn, why are Stockmann’s clothes so expensive? T-T

~♥~

That’s about it. See you next time~

Devils’ Parade

Hiya all! Long time no see. For once I’m not going to apologize for the blog silence since I’ve got a perfect excuse for my absence. *dum-de-dum* It’s actually school. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, for the past two weeks I have actually been studying! I got accepted to the school I wished to attend! Yay, go me! I’m studying sewing women’s clothes. 8) Suits me perfectly, don’t you think?

Okay, I have a crapload of photos to show you and nothing much in my brain to tell about them. :'D It’s obviously been too long since my last update, too many things have happened and I can’t keep my thoughts organized. Sorry if this gets messy again. x3

Since I mentioned visiting my godparents’ summer house in my last post, I could start with that. No, I didn’t take any photos. Yes, I did manage to get Stella somewhat hooked on Takarazuka. Heck yes, we had a great time! We should definitely see each other more often~

~♥~

Chronologically, the next thing would probably be D’espairsray’s new album MONSTERS.

Limited edition with DVD (that I haven’t actually watched yet o.O), straight from Japan. :3 Took me a while to really get in to the songs, but the more I listen to it the better it sounds. It’s a bit lighter than their usual style, but it’s catchy and I’m sure it’ll work well live. I really need to start learning the lyrics by heart…

~♥~

I have been enjoying the Zukaism with Zara. One Saturday we went to Helsinki to window-shop all things otokoyaku. And, well, I bought a pair of Kamijo-boots. :____D It just happened, I swear I didn’t mean to! …Ahem, whatever, here’s a crappy photo of my outfit of that day:

The otokoyaku scarf combined with a black shirt and a pen skirt? I really don’t know. :'3 You can’t actually see it all that well in the photo, but I managed to make myself the Tooto nails. Finally!

I bought myself a new nail polish, yet again. My previous Tooto polish had run dry, so I couldn’t help buying GOSH Black Passion. The colour is love, but I don’t really love the horrible tip pull it creates. Anyway, Black Passion was the base, OPI Catch Me in Your Net was added on the tips and the finishing touches were done by an eyeliner brush with Lumene Natural Code Classy. The result? Here:

I didn’t bother to take too detailed a photo, since I haven’t got any detailed photos of the real Tooto nails myself. (Explanations, explanations. x3) I ended up loving the result and am actually thinking of doing this design with some other colours too. (RED, anyone?)

~♥~

Ahem, then I’ve got a mass of photos of my face from a random lonely photo shoot. :'3 Feel the otokoyaku-vibe with a hint of feminine Hetaism added in. :'D

Man, I feel like a woman~♪ Or not. xD Dude-ism (what’s with the creative use of language again?) doesn’t make me look hot… I don’t even look like my dad here. x3

~♥~

Okay, now on to the good part! Me, Zara and Nepi went to Helsinki last Sunday to take some photos. It was so much fun and it shows. :D

HetaZaraWanna get in trouble?

Russian blueRio de Bravo, anyone? :D

mato Interesting bugs down there?

thecoolestfacesThe coolest photo of me and Nepi.

coolguys Can’t touch this~

Caboeira_reinventedOur Zuka dance reinvented caboeira. xD I can’t help lolling at these~

Umm, I don’t really have all that much free time these days… It takes me about an hour and a half to get to school and the same to get back home, and the days aren’t all that short either. Last week I managed to not sit on the computer every night and thus I got to sleep about six hours per night. Yesterday, I failed. I stayed up ‘til half past two in the morning, watching Zuka videos. How irresponsible can one be of herself? >___>'' Now I just have to share this, even though most of you probably aren’t interested… My Zuka fandom has risen to a level where I hail about every otokoyaku I see. I just discovered the greatness of Maya Miki and that discovery is going to cause me so much pain. The woman has had a concert in Budokan. Where she sung Malice Mizer’s Gekka no Yasoukyoku. The live video is extremely hard to find. Somebody please shoot me now! A hot otokoyaku (they really knew how to fanservice in the 90s) singing one of my favourite songs! Gekka no Yasoukyoku is actually my example of how to somewhat ruin your favourite song by having it as the tune of your alarm clock. But it’s love. I would do about anything to see a clip of Miki singing it. WHERE CAN I FIND THAT VIDEO? (It has also Mizu in it. *-*)

I ain’t got no money, money~♫

…I love the autumn fashion collections, by the way. They’re always full of clean cuts and black and everything that I love. If I had the money, I would shop ‘til I drop in Seppälä, Lindex and Stockmann. I need shiny leggings, for example.

Due to lack of sleep last night, I can’t come up with anything clever to write. :'3 Sorry~

Until next time sweeties~ ♥

P.S. Keep listening to Desert Rose by Sting (whom I won’t be seeing live T-T) and watching different versions of the hotness Kosame. ;3

P.P.S. I should probably revive my writing blog, since I’ve got some 3000 words of YuMizu fanfiction on my computer… 8D

2010/06/08

Ah, bliss~♥

I’ve probably had a couple of yet another best days of my life, and more are coming, if everything goes as planned. :3

Should I do this chronologically? Umm, I’m thinking maybe. At least for the two most important things. ♥

First off, my graduation party! I managed (quite miraculously, in fact!) to finish my dress in time, had to sew a few stitches in the morning, but I didn’t need to downright panic at all! :D What an accomplishment.

Newly graduated, in our school’s lobby. I had about 15 minutes in the morning for curling my hair, so I’m positivelly surprised that they came out pretty well (better than ever before, I think) and they also lasted for the whole day (and I still have some loose curls, didn’t have time to wash my hair yet) so I’m extremelly happy!

…I wasn’t in my most photographable state on Saturday, I guess, but I’ve got a couple of okay photos. :3 Dad’s parents gave me that huge rose. I love it. *-* I got many compliments on my dress, which actually made me feel quilty, because I would have wanted to make it even prettier. My dad described it as one of the prettiest in the whole school (dad’s speech – I tried so hard not to cry, he was just overly wonderful ;__;♥) but he was obviously watching the whole thing through his paternal vision, so that’s not any kind of a proper measure. People told me they liked especially the corset (bought, obviously) and the part that covered my shoulders. Here’s where the quilt stepd in – I did the decolté just the previous day and actually had the only panic experiense at around eleven p.m. when I noticed that I had made it too small. I couldn’t really use the sewing machine at that time of the night, so I had to sew some extentions to the bach by hand. :'3 I didn’t mention it to the quests, though, and was just happy that they approved. ^^

My dear frien Kat came from Denmark with her parents who are our important family friends, almost like a part of the family. ♥ (I hope you won’t mind me showing this photo, Kat. I’ll take it down if you want.) The one on the right is my little sister. We’re like day and night, really. :'D I look so pale compared to the other two…

A little bit of shoe posing with my girls. ♥ You can finally see my shoes better here. I’ve got to say that I almost ruined my toes with these. ^^'' I wish I’d have a good photo of my complete outfit, but I guess we’ll just have to do with what we’ve got. :3

And now to the presents! I got a nice amount of money and gift cards from family friends and Godparents, which is good considering the other thing I’m going to write about. But let’s stick to the graduation for a while longer.

I got a new electronic sewing machine from my parents. ;__;♥ It’s so modern that I’m afraid to use it. So many cool options~ I learned that my mom’s sewing machine is about 20-30 years old, so I guess it’s good to finally have a new one in the house. I just hope that the electronic parts won’t break down… The old mechanical machines always last longer than the more modern stuff.

I got Arabia’s Satumetsä mugs from a friend, as I had hoped, and a teapot with two tea cups (Wildberries by Villeroy&Boch) from all of my cousins from dad’s side (as I don’t have any on my mother’s side). I also got a poppy painting from my dad’s mother and a series of three old portraits, one of my great-grandmother and my grandmother’s and mother’s graduation photos, all in black and white. ♥ Family history, that’s what I like. :3 There’s also a book journal I got from another friend. Got to start reading books more often again.

I got my first Nomination bracelet from my godparents. ♥ It has a star (for Stella, I suppose *-*) and a golden lyra for my graduation. :3 So from now on I’ll be more than pleased to receive new pieces for every little event. :D

My cards and the big roses. ♥

My cousin’s son (about 4 years now) was so adorable when he very shyly handed these flowers to me. ;__;♥ And his little brother, my godson, was the cutest little thing, as always. *3* ♥

And just to add yet another photo, here are my ‘summer shoes’ that I bought today. :3 I just couldn’t bring myself to buy flat shoes, a girl’s got to have heels. ♥ I hope I’ll be able to walk with these though… Unlike my fail with last summer’s shoes. x3

---

Now, on to the big news!

Heta is going to Germany ~22.7.2010. ♥

GACKTOOOO, here I come! ♥

(I’m so tired from all that rambling about the graduation that I can’t write a proper over-excited post about this right now… :'D)

I’m a bit worried, since I haven’t yet got the actuall bill, but I got the confirmation e-mail, so I think it means I got the ticket? *-* I spent the whole mornin (from about 9:45 to approx. 13:50) refreshing the page of the ticket seller, slowly getting on with the order step by step. I was too excited to get frustrated, otherwise I probebly would have paniced or blown up my head or something. :'D

Now I just need to actually pay for the ticket and then reserve the hotel and plane tickets to Munich, as soon as possible. I’ll probably be in Munich from the 21st to the 23rd of July and right now it seems that I’m going all alone. :D My parents are a bit worried, but I’m just… Almost high from the feeling of freedom and independance. :__D Somehow Germany seems like a safe place to go alone, even though I don’t speak German at all, just understand somewhat and know some Elisabeth bits by heart. :'D Me and my usefull vocabulary, I can ask people why they have murdered the Empress Elisabeth, or tell them about der Tod, or sing Die Schatten werden länger, if I still remember the german lyrics after all of that Yami ga hirogaru… :'3 Or maybe I’ll just tell everyone that I’m afraid of the police. xD Well, I’ll get to see GACKT and explore a bit of Munich and that’s the main point. ♥ Good use for my graduation present money. :3

Zara just convinced me to go to Annyeong!Party tomorrow, so I guess I’d better get to sleep soon. I want to buy a headband from Spiritstore tomorrow, plus I’ll have to get an appointment with a doctor for the driving school. I just started the theory lessons today! So many things to write about, so many things to forget… Well, until next time, my dears! Nail repairing post is on the way, plus I feel like cutting my nails, so expect something naily in near future!

♥Hetha♥

P.S. I really hope my mom and dad will want to go to see Sting when he has a concert in Finland… Mom already said that she’s not all that inspired to see a huge arena concert with Sting playing old songs with a symphony orchestra, but c’mon! She’s already missed him once and has felt bad about it later on.. We’ve got to see the concert, right? Right?

2010/06/01

The impossible is happening

I’m sorry if this post gets really random or over the top, because…

*DUM-DE-DUUUUUUUUM*

GACKT is coming to Europe! For real! Gaaaaah, I can’t get over this fact! And as I am a legal adult, it would technically be possible for me to go see his gig in Germany, for example. *_________* The problem is that he’s going to be playing in some relatively small clubs and thus the tickets are very limited… And I seriously don’t know who would go to, say Munich with me just to see GACKT’s gig… Plus I’d have to get a job to get the money, in case my friends and family aren’t too pleased with me spending my graduation present money all at once… But waaaaaah, I really want to go! I’ll have to get the tickets… *___* ♥ (Not that I wouldn’t be seeing my two favourite Japanese bands this year anyways…)

I’ve seen many Finnish people complaining in the net how unfair it is that GACKT’s not coming to Finland or even to Sweden or Russia, but I guess I’ll get to that when I’ve failed in getting the tickets to his concert in Germany. …Or the UK? I’m planning away here, without even discussing this over with my parents… I hope they won’t be totally against the idea. :3

Ahem, I was going to write about other things than GACKT too. (Man, it’s a pain to spell his name on capital letters every time…)

Um, so I’m obviously supposed to be studyin- erm, sewing right now, but instead I’m updating my blog! It really wouldn’t take too long to finish my graduation outfit, a couple of seams and a little something for the upper half, plus the underskirt… Which brings us to the topic of the day, my shopping trip to Helsinki with Zara from yesterday. (Is it just me or am I failing in English? Too long a break in blogging, plus a bad state of mind…) First, my outfit (sorry for the crappy mirror photo, as always. ^^)

(Why do mirrors always make me look wide? :'D And sorry for that vacuum cleaner. xD) Sooooo… I’m actually wearing my mom’s old pen skirt, which fits me better than the one I bought myself. o.O And you can also see my new pumps I bought for the graduation. They are redder than that in real life.

Other than the shoes, I was looking for a zipper for my graduation dress. I bought one that was slightly too long, but I guess I’ll manage… :'3 I also finally remembered my 40€ gift card to Tokyokan, so I got to shop for some Japanese goods.

Gothic&Lolita Bible, from 2004. Featuring Kamijo~ (Only two pages. ;_;)

Chocolate & strawberry pockies :D The Hello Kitty –ones were actually pretty good. I also bought a new pair of chopsticks and a hashioki, but I didn’t take a photo of them. ^^'

Well, next up are my new love, Promarkers! I just got six new ones from the mail. :'3 No need to wonder if I start complaining about being poor. x3

Here they are, with three Neopikos. :3

And here are my current nails, a simple and slightly failed French mani. My nails seem quite long… Should I cut them already?

I was also going to write about my resurfacing Takarazuka-fandom, which I should keep in the back of my mind for health reasons, but then the GACKT news blew that thought away. ^^' I watched Elisabeth for the six hundredth time (just slightly exaggerating) last Thursday and both Mizu Natsuki and Zuka overall have been occupying my mind ever since. I also listened it over once and yesterday I started trying to write out the script in Japanese. Otaku hobbies ♥

… And now I notice that I’ve promised to do a post about nails and how to repair them if they start to chip etc. ò.Ô Well, keep your hopes up, I’ve got it coming (some day)! :'3

Busted

The shortest blog title yet, yay!

Ehehee, my parents found out about the DVD… :___D Luckily I didn’t get yelled at (as of yet, that is) but mom seemed to be disappointed… I hate disappointing my parents but sometimes it just can’t be avoided. But dad disappointed me first, so I’d say we’re even now. :3 Mom’s reaction kind of made me feel bad, otherwise yesterday would have been about perfect. Thanks for a great Mizu-filled afternoon/evening Zara! <3 *-*

I did a little depression shopping on Monday. ^^'' I went to Sello (yeah, I really think that I’m turning into a masochist) in search of a new winter coat. After going through about three shops I gave up and went to look for a new pair of boots. I finally managed to find ones that fit and pleased my eyes. Here they are:

Shopping1I’m usually not too fond of wrinkled things but these boots are tight enough, so I don’t mind. (Plus AQUA5, k-pop etc. have messed my mind so bad that I won’t be surprised when I find myself liking all kinds of things I couldn’t stand before…) I bought these from DinSko so I’m not expecting them to stay in good shape for too long… I had to spend some 60€ on these only. T-T My bank account is getting emptier by the minute.

Shopping2 I remembered that I needed a new foundation and ended up buying a new nail polish, a white eyeliner and a very thin brush for doing nail art. These were 27,80€ in total. From a local market, nothing too special but good enough for me. ^^

Shopping3 And here’s what I bought today! I went to buy a CD for my dad (we’re celebrating Father’s Day tomorrow here in Finland) and ended up buying this new CD Strike by The Baseballs. I’ve been listening this for basically the whole evening and I am so in love! Rock on rockabilly~ I guess it isn’t a surprise that my love for the 50’s doesn’t limit to clothes, hair and cars but extends to music as well. *-*

Shopping4 And here are my über awesome Tooto-inspired nails. Made by Heta the five-year-old. >.<'' Used my black-ish Nivea nail polish (that I haven’t showed you here yet o.O'') as the base and then a weird grayish GOSH polish to make the silvery parts (oh my Gackt how my English is failing me… T-T) and when I got the new silver nail polish and the small brush I painted the thin silver lines to separate the black and grey. At first I didn’t like these nails at all and just wanted to paint my nails red but then I kind of started to like these after all. (I’m going to start crying soon if my sentences don’t get any better than this. Brain=empty.)

Um, well, since my brain seems to be pretty dead already I could show you a video that completely threw me out of balance the other day. I was at school having a free period and decided to check if there were any new Mizu videos on YouTube. Well, there was this one particular DVD commercial that almost made me cry right there.

OMG. *__________* Seriously, Mizu is too hot and she certainly makes me do evil things to my wallet. God I want that DVD. My soul cries blood. I’m so glad that I’ll be 18 when it’s released, makes buying it easier… It’s scary how Mizu has become such a necessity for me. “Not a want but a need” as they sing in High School Musical… XD Mizu Natsuki is the hottest drug ever. (The DVD on TCA website)

Ahem, how did I end up hyperventilating again? It seems like I can’t make one Mizu-less post anymore… Someone needs to pull me back from clouds. “Earth to Heta, Earth to Heta-” “I’m sorry Sir but I think we have lost the contact. She seems to be out of range already- Ah, wait! I just got a message that she passed Pluto a couple of minutes ago. I’m afraid there’s nothing more we can do for her, poor soul.” :___D Some NASA people are having conversations in my head. XD

Oh yeah, I almost forgot! I got a memory stick full of pics of all kinds of historical & vintage dresses and clothes and thus I’m full of ideas for new sewing projects! (As if I didn’t already have enough of those… >.<'') I hope that I’ll manage to get something done tomorrow…

Total brain lag again, better end this here before things get any more random and messy than they already are. See you later! I’m waiting for your comments, as always~

Lots of stupidity and some bad luck

Two posts on the same day? (Well, technically no, since it’s already past midnight.) Wow, that’s a first! For Taitti, since you asked for more frequent updates. ^^

First of all, I’m sorry. Am I starting to sound like a broken record already? x) I’m sorry for not updating as often as you would like, and I’m sorry for being a loser when it comes to cellphones. I keep missing calls when I’m at home because I a) am on the other side of the house or b) have accidentaly left my phone on silent mode and thus can’t hear the call/text message. I usually remember to check my phone when I’m going to bed and it’s usually too late then to answer missed calls/text messages. So if I’m not answering my phone, it probably doesn’t mean that I’m avoiding you, just that I have once again failed to hear my phone. >-<''

So, about my life. ^^ Last Thursday I decided to prove myself that I really do burn in sun in twenty minutes. Here’s the proof:

JalatAnd that’s four days after I burned my feet. Here’s what happened. I was sitting in our garden with my mom. I swear I sat there for twenty minutes max. and didn’t think anything of it at first. I only noticed how badly my feet had burned when I had been inside for about ten minutes. Suddenly I just felt tingling pain on my feet, as if little ants were biting me or something. So I looked at my feet and this is what I saw! My poor feet have been suffering a lot lately. All of my shoes abrade my feet on different places and it has been a pain to walk for longer distances. I’ve been sunbathing in my swimsuit with socks on my feet. x) Me and shoes really don’t go together all that well. I always go for good looks before comfort. Will I ever learn?

Okay, enough with my hideous feet. We’ll soon get to the bad luck part but before that, there are some happier things to write about. I was in Denmark for the weekend, for my very dear friend Kat’s graduation. The actual party was on Saturday, but we flew to Copenhagen on Friday and had some quality time as a family in Tivoli. Our plan was to go to eat something and possibly try out a few rides while we were there. My sister had never been to Tivoli, even though we have been to Denmark countless times. Well, she didn’t take any rides in the end but in Copenhagen’s Tivoli the rides are not the main point. I would have liked to go to The Demon, the coolest rollercoaster I’ve ever tried (not that I’ve tried so many, but anyway) but I didn’t want to go alone and nobody else seemed interested. My dad would have been interested to ride this year’s new ride, The Flight, but it seemed way too crazy for us and we convinced dad to stay away from it. Dad actually said that he should ride it to prove that he is a tough guy. To me it sounds ridiculous. We told him that he was already a tough duy, no need to risk his guts.

Then, somehow, me and dad ended up doing something I thought I absolutely could’t survive. We rode the world’s tallest carousel. The Star Flyer. My first thought when I saw that thing was something along the lines of: “That’s the one I’ll never try. The scariest thing ever”. I really almost got sick by just looking at it. Seriously, swing carousel has been one of my favourite rides but when it comes to swinging at 80 meters above the ground – you can count me out. I am somewhat afraid of heights and certainly not a daredevil. I can’t understand how I ended up here:

Tivoli2You couldn’t tell how scared we were by looking at this. Well, dad played it cool, so it might be that I was the only one about to faint here. The thought of going up to 80 meters and then start spinning at the pace of 70 km/h in those tiny benches wasn’t the most pleasant one, either.

Tivoli Me and my dad would be the ones inside that red circle. Heading up, scared to death in my case. Dad was giving me a kind advice of not looking down, which I was all too willing to take to my heart. “Look at the horizon and try to focus your eyes on some spot occasionally, so you won’t feel sick.” It wouldn’t have been all that bad if the swings didn’t start to swing so that at times I was facing the ground and at other times all I could see was blue sky. I was so afraid that I would slip out of the swing and fall head first to the ground. Here’s the best pic I could find with the carousel at the highest point.

We made it safely back to the ground, obviously, but I was still shaking for a good ten minutes after we had got off. It turned out that dad had been holding on to the bars for his dear life; the imprints on his palms lasted as long as my shaking. It was scary. Was it worth it? Definitely. How I feel about it now? I’m so proud I could do that. I could conquer my worst fears and didn’t even puke or faint. Would I do it again? Possibly, now that I know I actually can live through something like that. But not too soon. I’m starting to feel dizzy for thinking about it too much.

On Saturday, we went to eat breakfast to Nyhavn and then did some window shopping. The party started at two o’clock and we stayed at Kat’s house afterwards. We slept at hotel and came back on Sunday morning all packed up for our trip back home. Overall we had a great time in Denmark, only the last hour we spent in the country was not so pleasant.

We had arrived to the airport, ready to just drop our bags and head over to do some airport shopping but things didn’t go all that smoothly. The airport was crowded and the line to Finnair’s check-in and baggage drop moved on slowly as a snail. No, the snail would have been faster. In the end, we had to go straight to the gate, no time for shopping or eating. But the real misfortune awaited us in Finland.

When we got to the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, we didn’t get our luggage. As it turned out, our luggage was lost somewhere at the Copenhagen airport, along with about twenty other people’s. My biggest concern (lol, not really) was that dad had bought me a new OPI nail polish before we left to Denmark, and chances were I might never see it again. Overall I didn’t have anything extremely important in our luggage but some little things I use every day. We had to go shopping for essentials on Monday, since Finnair said they didn’t have any idea of where our bags were. We were all getting very irritated, it’s been long two days. Luckily, my dad got a phone call this evening, saying our luggage was coming with the next flight from CPH, which would land at 0:30 am. We actually got our bags back just now, my parents were already sleeping so I had to wake mom to sign the papers. I’m so relieved!

On a side note, if anyone wants to come to swim, our pool is open! I really enjoyed swimming today, the water nicely warm, around +27°C. When I finally got into the water, after a couple of minutes of consideration, I didn’t want get out. Ah, joy. If the promised heat will be too much for you on Thursday, come to swim! A good advertisement, right? I really wouldn’t mind throwing a pool party for my friends at some point.

Well, since I’ve finally got my hands on OPI Yoga-ta Get This Blue you’ll probably see a swatch of it sometime soon. I’m wearing I’m Not Really A Waitress right now though and I wouldn’t want to take it off! Just my colour…
