Better than love

Ladies and gentlemen, what you are looking at is a post written by one very happy girl. And that was a huge understatement right there. Alright, since you can all guess what this is about I’ll just get to the subject without further delay.

*Insert dramatic drums here*

Friday the 15th was definitely more successful than the one before it, but the reason to my happiness was the same. (Zuka, obviously. There’s still no progress with the video thing. ^^'')

… !!!

I got my new Mizu stuff! *____* I was completely over the moon when I came home from a fashion fair (nothing much to say about that) to find a package from Japan on my table. My sister had apparently signed the delivery for me, so all I had to do was avoid any questions about the price of the delivery from my parents. I snuck the package to my room and squealed and hyperventilated a lot while carefully examining the contents. My mind has obviously been filled with Mizu for the past week. There’s so much to look at and so much to read, if only I could read Japanese, that is. I’ve done a lot of reading, actually. If I would bother to learn some of the more frequently appearing kanji it wouldn’t be all that hard to at least grasp the main concept of all the articles etc. I’m feeling the need to scan every photo of Mizu on the computer for personal usage, but I don’t want to risk ruining the book and the magazines in the process. Plus, there would be so much to scan; I wouldn’t know where to begin. Anyway, that was 97 € well spent. *pats herself on the back*

~♥~

I started to write this entry two weeks ago and I’m sure I had something non-zuka-related to say back then but now… Tehehee. :D Zara has bought like three new DVDs in the past two weeks so we’ve had a Zuka night two Saturdays in a row. Pari no Sora Yori mo Takaku was great of course, but nothing can beat what we watched yesterday. Roget/Rock on! is something that I must buy immediately, sorry Zuka shopping list! I’ve fallen in love. I’ve found my post-Mizu favourite takarasienne. I’m over the moon, about to faint, feeling anxious when I wake up all because of one Sagiri Seina. New obsession, here I come!

(Image from here.) This girl… My Gackt, why do I always forget how to breathe when she pops up from somewhere? *_____*

She’s just… Whoah. You really should see her in action, she’s too cool. Or too hot to handle. I can’t decide which would be the best way to describe her. Hot like ice? (Yes, her character is the bad guy. Why do I always fall for the bad guys? Tooto, Aosetona, vampires in general…) Her acting somehow reminds me of Gackt, and her voice… To die for. I heard her voice in Russian Blue for the first time and fell for it right away. Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, I’m moving on now to save the last bit of sense I have in me.

(Got to say just one more thing related to this… My dad randomly decided to up our (mine & my sister’s) monthly allowance by 25 €. YAYYYY! Now I can almost afford the DVD with the handling and postage fees… …Ohmigackt, this is not good for my sanity…)

…Just one more and I promise to stop spamming.

(Source.) Is she cool or what? *q* *dances away to find a bucket*

~♥~

I’ve had a massive skin problem for a month now. I don’t want to go into too much detail here, so I’ll just say that the skin on my face was so dry I was afraid it would come off altogether and I had a nasty rash on my neck and even armpits.  I went to see a doctor on Wednesday and got four different creams with which to start healing my skin. The most healing cream worked like magic and my skin was back to normal in three days. Now I’m just mad at myself for not seeing a doctor sooner. -.-

~♥~

Next subject: mood swings! I’ve about had it. Last week I was feeling under the weather because of my skin. Yesterday I was angsting big time, probably due to lack of Chigi sleep. Today has been a massive rollercoaster. I think I’ve regained some of my appetite after two days of not feeling like eating much. (And here I thought it was impossible for me to lose my appetite.) I haven’t exactly cried (got enough of that yesterday) but I’ve been down. But I’ve also been high with a texting war about Zuka meets Star Wars with Zara and finding Roget/Rock on! online. And the best of all? I started jumping up and down with joy when I got my hair crisis (yes, it’s always there) under control.

Picture 1174(A bad webcam photo is bad.) This isn’t inspired by Chigi’s cheek bones. It’s a bit difficult to see in the photo (Why do I feel like I’ve written something like that before?) but my hair actually looks quite nice! A bit like Kathryn Morris’ in Cold Case. Well, I always thought I liked her hair and that it would probably suit me too. Well, it does! And guess what? I may have found a perfect cut, if I ever decide to get rid of these locks. Buh-bye hair! …Or not. :3 We’ll see…

~♥~

Now, I absolutely must watch more Chigi call it a night. Only two hours of school tomorrow and then I’ll be off to do some depression shopping. A blazer, a frilly dress shirt, a hat, a mini skirt… Dum-de-dum, I’ve got a list of new clothes I want. :3 If I can find any that suit me and my taste, that is…

Until next time, dearies~!

At the risk of sounding like a broken record…

Guess what’s back in full force? Zuka. Freaking. Fandom. :D Must apologize to all of you who aren’t all that interested to read about the same crazy fandom over and over again, but I just can’t keep this to myself (as you might have noticed during this past year).

I told you about Zara buying me some Zuka stuff torturing me with her hype being in Japan in my last post. Well, guess what? She’s back in Finland now and I, being the greedy little thing the most enthusiastic Zuka fan I am, managed to convince her to come at my place to have a Takarazuka sleepover. 8) We would have been watching her Zuka DVDs all day yesterday, but I had a theory lesson, which almost ruined our plans. Luckily we got this sleepover idea and managed to watch a few things in the evening.

Our Zuka night started with Zara showing me all the things she had bought for herself and me taking my sweet time browsing through everything. (My mind seems to be trying to cope with Takarazuka overdose by concentrating on every single kanji and random add I happen to see. :'3) I had to remind myself to breathe before she got my souvenirs out of her bag.

My new treasures. *-* Two advertisement papers and a Sabrina/Exiter! flyer on the top left corner. I could easily spend a few hours just examining those. Then, a Takarazuka GRAPH magazine from August 2009 on the top right, Matobu Sei on the cover, lots of 2009 Elizabeth-related things and photos from AQUA5’s concert inside, among other things. And then there’s the poster. Of Mizu. And of Yumiko. In the same poster. On the opposite sides of it. WTF Takarazuka, trying to make me nuts? You wouldn’t give me the chance to have both their pictures on my wall at the same time? Figures. On lower right, a photo of Mizu. *-* My first comment, while still having a total brain lag, was ‘Mizu is not amused’. Mizu’s über cool though, so I obviously love the photo. And finally, what’s that thing next to the photo? A DVD? For me? Ah yes, it is the love. La Rose de Versailles (Berubara amongst friends), Mizu as Oscar digest. ♥________♥ Heaven. And a very bling heaven at that.

On with the schedule of our sleepover. We watched my Berubara DVD first and then continued with Rio de Bravo, which turned out to be a huge success. So much bling and feathers that you’ve got to lol hard, but also a very cool and sexy Mizu stealing a piece of jewellery and putting a female officer in handcuffs. 8D Over-the-top costumes, sexy dancing, coolness and a touch of comedy. If I didn’t know better, I’d say that life doesn’t get any better than that.

Well, as we had begun our Zuka marathon a bit late, we had to call it a night after Rio. The next morning I woke up at around eight, with Zara telling me that she’d been awake since 5:30. :___________D Well, waking up early gave us more time to watch the rest of the DVDs and so our marathon continued with Russian Blue. That one was a comedy, ultimately cute and a pain to keep up with with our Japanese skills. The wizards at the beginning got us really confused and a musical-loving Stalin was just hilarious. And Mizu’s smiles… I don’t even need to go there, do I? *____* We did a 180 with the last remaining DVD (we didn’t have time for Zara’s Yuuhi Oozora Berubara), which was tragically beautiful Romeo to Julietto ‘99. Full of emotion, Mizu-scale. So much cuteness. Yumiko, drunk with bits of green in her hair, dying way too early. Touching, perfect. ;__;♥

And having wathced all those shows, I ended up just craving for more. :'3 Yes, that’s right, I now feel like buying every single DVD I can afford (which isn’t all that many at the time being). The bling and the awesomeness is just so catchy that I’d love to have a Zuka sleepover every night from now on. 8) I need to buy, for example 「水夏希~Energy~新人公演ダイジェスト」 maybe at the very beginning of next month. Me & My Girl with Mizu playing the main role. Tango Argentino, same thing. *_________* Lovelovelove! And, luckily only near December, 2010 MIZU Natsuki Takarazuka Sky Stage DVD-BOX『MIZU』, 750 minutes (that’s 12 and a half hours, you guys) of Mizu. *brain explosion* The prices? 10,500 yen (~95€) for the first one and 16,800 yen (~152€) fo the second. And that’s without the shipping service fees. *head-desk* I’m going to die poor and happy, with a fortune in Takarazuka DVDs (…and manga, but let’s not go into that now, shall we?). :3

~♥~

That was it about Zuka for now. I’m going to my godparents’ summer house tomorrow and thus I’ll be away from the computer for the weekend. But before I go, I’ll have to fill you in on my last week.

First of all, I had an entrance exam on Wednesday morning. It didn’t go all that great, and I’ll still have to wait until next week or so before I’ll know for sure whether I got in or not. >.<''

After the exam, me and my little sister flew to Denmark to see Kat. We had an awesome time there, buying my sister a ball gown, eating sushi, driving to BonBon-Land (I went to the second-craziest ride of my life, Sven Svingarm, twice with Kat), having a crayfish party, drinking a few more than usual (for me, at least) and watching too much Disney Channel. :'D Ah, life’s good.

Bonbobland1Bonbonland2Credits to my sister. The crazy awesome BonBon-Land rides. :D

I really need to sleep. *goes to watch some Berubara*

Guess who’s got this on DVD? *-* (Why am I totally amazed by Mizu in drag obsessed with Wataru in this?)

Until next time, dears~! ♥

The impossible is happening

I’m sorry if this post gets really random or over the top, because…

*DUM-DE-DUUUUUUUUM*

GACKT is coming to Europe! For real! Gaaaaah, I can’t get over this fact! And as I am a legal adult, it would technically be possible for me to go see his gig in Germany, for example. *_________* The problem is that he’s going to be playing in some relatively small clubs and thus the tickets are very limited… And I seriously don’t know who would go to, say Munich with me just to see GACKT’s gig… Plus I’d have to get a job to get the money, in case my friends and family aren’t too pleased with me spending my graduation present money all at once… But waaaaaah, I really want to go! I’ll have to get the tickets… *___* ♥ (Not that I wouldn’t be seeing my two favourite Japanese bands this year anyways…)

I’ve seen many Finnish people complaining in the net how unfair it is that GACKT’s not coming to Finland or even to Sweden or Russia, but I guess I’ll get to that when I’ve failed in getting the tickets to his concert in Germany. …Or the UK? I’m planning away here, without even discussing this over with my parents… I hope they won’t be totally against the idea. :3

Ahem, I was going to write about other things than GACKT too. (Man, it’s a pain to spell his name on capital letters every time…)

Um, so I’m obviously supposed to be studyin- erm, sewing right now, but instead I’m updating my blog! It really wouldn’t take too long to finish my graduation outfit, a couple of seams and a little something for the upper half, plus the underskirt… Which brings us to the topic of the day, my shopping trip to Helsinki with Zara from yesterday. (Is it just me or am I failing in English? Too long a break in blogging, plus a bad state of mind…) First, my outfit (sorry for the crappy mirror photo, as always. ^^)

(Why do mirrors always make me look wide? :'D And sorry for that vacuum cleaner. xD) Sooooo… I’m actually wearing my mom’s old pen skirt, which fits me better than the one I bought myself. o.O And you can also see my new pumps I bought for the graduation. They are redder than that in real life.

Other than the shoes, I was looking for a zipper for my graduation dress. I bought one that was slightly too long, but I guess I’ll manage… :'3 I also finally remembered my 40€ gift card to Tokyokan, so I got to shop for some Japanese goods.

Gothic&Lolita Bible, from 2004. Featuring Kamijo~ (Only two pages. ;_;)

Chocolate & strawberry pockies :D The Hello Kitty –ones were actually pretty good. I also bought a new pair of chopsticks and a hashioki, but I didn’t take a photo of them. ^^'

Well, next up are my new love, Promarkers! I just got six new ones from the mail. :'3 No need to wonder if I start complaining about being poor. x3

Here they are, with three Neopikos. :3

And here are my current nails, a simple and slightly failed French mani. My nails seem quite long… Should I cut them already?

I was also going to write about my resurfacing Takarazuka-fandom, which I should keep in the back of my mind for health reasons, but then the GACKT news blew that thought away. ^^' I watched Elisabeth for the six hundredth time (just slightly exaggerating) last Thursday and both Mizu Natsuki and Zuka overall have been occupying my mind ever since. I also listened it over once and yesterday I started trying to write out the script in Japanese. Otaku hobbies ♥

… And now I notice that I’ve promised to do a post about nails and how to repair them if they start to chip etc. ò.Ô Well, keep your hopes up, I’ve got it coming (some day)! :'3

Always Obsessed

Creativetitles.com :''D

Ahem, I always suck at getting to the point…

It’s been two weeks again, sorry for that! ^^ Here’s a brief version of what’s been going on in my life in these past two weeks:

1. I was being shy at Tsukicon with Zara (stalking people we know from the net, bloggers and such…). I tried to wear fake nails for the first time in my life and that… Well, let’s just say it wasn’t a very successful experiment. :''D

2. I’ve been a bit sick, a typical post-stress reaction or something.

3. I learned that the German shop I was ordering my Elisabeth DVD from has run out of copies so I’ll have to wait for 8-12 weeks 'til I’ll get it. T-T But hopefully I’ll get the CD early next week.

4. Umm… And yeah, as the title indicates, I’ve got myself obsessed in various “new” things. Or rather my old obsessions have expanded. (… Brain lag, I’m watching V-ROCK FESTIVAL and they’re showing Aoi’s performance atm. *-* …) My Phantom of the Opera fandom has got a new Takarazuka dimension and thus my Takarazuka fandom has got a new Wao Yoka dimension. *3* Which has lead to WaoHana fandom and to a renewal of my love for Victorian dresses. I can’t sleep because I only want to sew. But I suck at drawing patterns… It’s a dilemma. And my mom won’t buy me new fabrics until I finish my previous projects. T-T I suck at finishing things. Here’s a clip where you can (well, somewhat) see the dress I’d love to make:

(It’s the white one, in case you were wondering.) *3* I have absolutely no idea of where I’d wear a dress like that… Not at school obviously… Fancy throwing a ball, anyone?

Boohoo, I’ve got a feeling that this post is going to be a huge one… Sorry! XD

Nail status:

LyhyetThey’re short and yellow. T-T I really need to do something about them today… >___>''

Hair status:

hiukset2 hiukset3

(Lol, I look like a ghost >:D) A couple of experiments I’ve had with my shorter hair. For some reason I can’t keep from curling my hair these days. Shorter hair –> more volume, please!

Next subject… Helsinki Book Fair! *-* It’s been one of my favourite happenings of the year ever since I went there for the first time about seven years ago. I was a true book worm at the time and though I don’t read as much these days my love for books hasn’t faded. This year I went there with Taitti and Niina on Friday and then again with my mom on Saturday. Too many people, too much to see, too many books but I love it. This year it was “pappa betalar” (dad pays) for both me and mom. :____D It’s a good thing that my dad always supports our hobbies because otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to buy anything due to my poor financial status. :''D Anyways, here’s what I bought:

KirjamessuostoksetThe things I bought on Friday are on top and Saturday’s findings are bellow. ^^ As you can see, I focused mainly on manga on Friday. I bought Love Celeb 1&2 in Finnish (*-* I can’t help loving the way Shinjo Mayu draws male characters…), Vampire Knight 5 in English and then that huge Comic Beam in Japanese (because it was only 5 euros and there seemed to be a few interesting chapters there… Now I just need to start practicing my Japanese :''D). On Saturday I got mom to buy me (or us) a book full of misheard lyrics. It’s hilarious! Mom also found a book about dollhouses and I encouraged her to buy it. I haven’t got around to reading it yet but it seems really beautiful and lovely. I bought J.R.Ward’s Dark Lover in Finnish for myself because it just happened to catch my attention and as it is about vampires I couldn’t help buying it. (Now I’m in trouble because I’m supposed to be reading a book for my mother tongue class but I would much rather read this vampire book… xP) I haven’t got any photos from the fair itself because I never remember to take any photos… >.<''

I know this is a mile long post already but I’ve got to share with you just one more thing. I got my tai chi sword on Thursday! Here:

Taijimiekka2(Lol at the pose x3) It’s a bit too simple (not decorated) for my taste but I guess it goes well with the tai chi ideology… It looks a bit too orange too… Well, who cares as long as I can start practicing the sword form in January. :3

I had something more to write about but (to all my readers’ luck) I forgot what it was. ^^'' So, until next time my friends! (If school doesn’t kill me first, that is…)

Um, oh yeah! (I promise I’ll make it short. :'3) About my obsessions… I’ve got myself totally hooked on Facebook games like FarmVille, Vampire Wars and Café World. :''D It’s a bit pitiful, staying up ‘til midnight watching how my virtual plants grow. :______D

And plus, I feel like I’d like to change this blog’s appearance… But I haven’t got any ideas! If you have any suggestions, please let me know! ^^

Inochi wa omoshiroi desu ne

…That’s my first Japanese title in this blog, right? I hope so. I’m sorry for those who get annoyed when people like me use Japanese just for fun. I just had to use that phrase. I should be studying English, Swedish and French for the final exams (did I mention this already?) but instead I’m doing my best to learn more Japanese and German. ^^’

Life’s interesting. If it isn’t, do something to make it so. That’s what I’m about to do.

Sorry for having another break in blogging. I’ve been madly obsessed, though I think I’m getting over it, little by little. I’m still trying to find a way to buy the DVD but I haven’t been waking in the middle of the night thinking about Mizu Natsuki. I’m so glad, this obsession scared the life out of me at one point.

I spent two days (Tuesday & Wednesday) at my grandparents’ summer cottage with my dad. We went to pick blueberries and my dad almost managed to turn it into a competition, like always. In the end, we came back home with over 7 kg of blueberries. I don’t mind, eating blueberries straight form freezer in the winter is the best!

Mökillä6 Here’s a photo of my hand and basket. If you look closely (click for bigger version, as always) you’ll notice my stained fingers.

Mökillä3 My basket on the left, the other one is dad’s. After a little over two hours of crouching in the forest. That was about enough for me, but dad had to go back twice afterwards. Picking blueberries was very relaxing, almost meditative. Forest is the best place for us Finns, imo.

Mökillä2 The cottage. It’s very small but lovely. It’s one of the places I could call home. (That’s my grandmother on the porch, by the way.)

Mökillä5Mökillä4

My grandmother’s (or grandfather’s, I’m not 100% sure…) fuschia. Felt like taking a photo. ^^ Gotta love that plant’s Finnish name, verenpisara, which means blood drop. It is my duty as a vampire lover to love the plant with such a tempting name. ^___~

Mökillä1 And here’s a very freshly awesome photo of me in the forest. (Note the sarcasm here.) When I got home the first thing to do was to take a shower. The cottage doesn’t have water pipes, so washing my long hair would have been a major pain in the butt. x)

So now I’m back home. My little sister will be at home in about two hours, too, coming back from Jersey. She called me the other day to tell that she has bought me a super cute souvenir. I can’t wait! (I miss her, of course, but she isn’t the kind of person who would admit she has missed her big sister. So I’ll keep quiet about that. ^^)

I’m going about an identity crisis here. Should I change my style to something like this this or this(with longer hair and probably adding some romantic/aristocratic/gothic/vampiric/princess-y things)? Should I cut my hair? (Heck no!) Should I start buying more colourful clothes? (Maybe next summer…) Or should I perhaps try to look like Mizu Natsuki as death? (That would probably make me depressed… A no-go with my face…) My addiction has serously messed up my mind. My new theme songs are Antti Tuisku: Aivan niinkuin oisin mennyt biitistä sekaisin~ and TikTak: Sekoitat mun maailman~. (Lol, you should consider yourself lucky if you don’t know what I’m talking about.)

Then to yet another problem of mine. xD What on Earth should I wear to D’espairsRay’s gig tomorrow? :O Panicpanicpanic, I have no idea! And which shoes? I’ll have to wear shoes I can walk on… Nails? Hair? Gaah, I don’t know! I should go shopping, but I think it’ll have to wait till August when I’ll have more money… I would like to buy a men’s jacket looking blazer or something but, as my mom (my dear saving angel) put it, it’ll be nearly impossible to find one that suits me and even if I do, it’ll cost way too much. Mom is scarily practical at times.

Wow, I didn’t use the word indeed at all in this post! I was watching yet another Austen movie yestarday and I thought it would have affected my English. Sadly, it didn’t. I would love to use phrases like Are you quite certain? or I offer myself to you again with a heart even more your own than when you almost broke it eight years ago on a daily basis.

I think that’s all for now. Expect a gig review on Sunday or so. ^^
